This listing is for the wrap only. The bottle of castor oil is sold separately HERE.
Castor Oil Wraps are a natural remedy renowned for their healing properties, particularly in enhancing skin health and promoting relaxation and detoxification. Rich in ricinoleic acid, castor oil penetrates deeply into the skin, encouraging circulation and reducing inflammation, which can lead to improved skin tone and texture. Additionally, the soothing properties of castor oil can help alleviate tension and promote a sense of calm, making it an excellent choice for those seeking relaxation.
Why Choose a Castor Oil Wrap?
The primary reason is NO mess and NO staining! Traditional methods involve soaking a plain piece of cotton flannel in castor oil, placing it on the desired area, and then wrapping yourself in plastic wrap to prevent leaking and staining. This can be uncomfortable and inconvenient. These wraps eliminate this mess and hassle.

How Are Roots and Leaves Wraps Different?
Roots and Leaves mission, standards, and quality sets them apart. Many wraps on the market are sourced from overseas, often with questionable materials and high markups. Roots and Leaves prioritize quality, organic materials, fair pricing, and sourcing from the USA. Their wraps are hand-sewn by their team in Aiken, SC, using 100% organic materials. They are committed to providing work-from-home opportunities for stay-at-home moms in their community.
What Are the Wraps Made Of?
- Inner Layer: Soft, hypoallergenic, 100% organic cotton flannel.
- Outer Layer: Waterproof organic PUL material.
- Straps: Made from stretchy, organic material.
These secure wraps can be worn for an hour or all night without any mess or staining of your clothes and sheets.
What Are the Dimensions of the Wrap?
These wraps are the largest on the market at an affordable price. The cloth wrap measures 10x18 inches, not including the stretchy straps, which can stretch up to 66 inches in diameter. This makes it suitable for a wide range of body sizes. For smaller frames, wrap the straps around until it fits snugly. For larger bodies, tie the straps at your comfort level.
How Do I Use My Wrap?
To prepare for a castor oil wrap, you'll need a castor oil wrap pack, castor oil, and an optional hot water bottle or heating pad. Use 1-2 tbsp of organic cold pressed castor oil over the area of your skin you plan to place the wrap (always do a patch test first to make sure you are not sensitive to castor oil). Place the castor oil wrap on the target area and tie it into place, it's that simple. Optionally, you can place a hot water bottle or heating pad over it for warmth. The heat helps in the absorption of castor oil through the skin and enhances its therapeutic effects. If you don't want to use additional heat, no worries. Our wraps are designed to hold in body heat and apply the same effect.
A castor oil pack should typically be left on for a minimum of 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your tolerance. It's advisable to start with shorter durations and gradually increase as your body becomes accustomed to the treatment. You can work up to wearing it all night long if tolerated.
After use, remove the pack and cleanse the skin with a mixture of baking soda and water to remove any residual oil. Store the pack in the bag it comes in, and if you keep it in the refrigerator it will last longer. Typically around 3 months if using our wraps nightly.
How Do I Clean My Wrap?
Never wash in the washing machine because the castor oil will stain everything in there with it, and you would also damage the wrap. If you wear it over night, in the morning, hand wash with water and natural dish soap, then wring it out very well. Take an old towel (that you don't mind staining) and lay the outer layer of the pack against it. Roll the pack up in the tea towel, blotting out the oil until there is a little oily residue left on the outer layer. Hang to dry.
Other Information:
- Staining: Castor oil can stain clothing, sheets, and anything it comes in contact with. Washing the wrap may stain other items in your washing machine.
- Menstruation: Castor Oil Packs can be worn during your period. If it's your first time using a Castor Oil Pack, wait until the end of your period to begin to avoid intense cramps.
- Pregnancy: Castor Oil Packs should not be used during pregnancy.
- Postpartum and Breastfeeding: It is recommended to wait until you have finished breastfeeding before using Castor Oil Packs.
